Unavoidable potholes

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7686953.

There are potholes here all across the road lane, so that it's impossible to avoid them. I have reported this before and the conclusion has been that they'll be repaired by April 2026. This is nearly a year away and ridiculous time span for work. This is a major road and even now it needs to be driven over at a snail's pace to try to avoid damaging the car. This really needs to be repaired asap

    Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.

  • A strip of potholes along the beginning of this road. It's impossible to avoid tehm, so best just drive slowly until it gets repairs. Beware no one rams you from behind in their hurry

  • These potholes are still there (5/8/25). There are roadwroks sign up saying that they'll be fixing things, but so far you still have to drive very slowly around the blind corner to avoid damaging your car.

  • No change. This has been like this for many months, and is damaging to vehicles as they drive over at normal speed, so to protect your vehicle, it's best to drive over it very slowly, which can also be dangerous since vehicles coming up behind can be surprised at the slow speed. So this really needs to be repaired

  • 4 months on, this is still unfixed. I'm driving over it at a snail's pace to protect my car from damage. I've taken to putting my hazard lights on while doing this because there's a danger of vehicles accelarating from behind. I'm seriously unimpressed with the time this is taking. I bet htey're waiting for the next local elections or something. If I'm wrong, PROVE me wrong.

  • The multitude of unmissable potholes across the road have now been blocked up. I'm happy that I don't have to negotiate that anymore. I will not be negative and complain about the time it took.....
