Vegetation obscuring green direction sign and merge warning sign

Reported via desktop in the Sign Obscured (NH) category anonymously at 11:44, Saturday 7 June 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7674385.

The Eastbound green direction sign to Spondon and Ilkeston is obscured by overgrown trees and bushes. The next sign (the slip road merge warning) is also obscured. Earlier signs are also starting to become overgrown - e.g. the Spondon boundary marker. Derby City Council tell me that you are responsible for the maintenance of these signs and vegetation. Please could something be done as this is a difficult junction to navigate even without obscured signs and overgrown trees/bushes blocking the view from the A52 onto the sliproad and vice-versa. Visibility of these signs has been getting worse for at least the last 18 months.
