The central reservation has got loads of ash trees, some looking quite mature and flapping into the fast lane. Ash trees grow rapidly and seed easily

Reported via mobile in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category by Mandy Butler at 15:21, Fri 30 May 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7639418.

There are ash trees growing down the central reservation for a couple of miles around junction 1 to 3 of the M42 around Redditch, Worcestershire. They're soon be obscuring views and blowing into fast lane, branches could come off and damage they'll cause to the ground. A potential health and safety hazard. They need lifting out, there's hundreds of them. They are fast growing and easily seeding trees, I've never seen anything like this before on a motorway.
