Since repair of traffic lights on this roundabout, massive queues on north and southbound A38

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 15:50, Tue 20 May 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7595997.

Traffic light sensor is broken - used to only stop main A38 traffic when vehicles were waiting from the M6 Till slip road. Since repairing the lights that were knocked down last year, there are now huge queues north and southbound on the A38 while zero cars are using the M6 toll minor slip road. Sensor broken or not replaced?

Updates

  • The roundabout linking the M6 Toll to the A38 is experiencing issues with the traffic lights, which are malfunctioning and causing error signals despite no traffic coming from the M6 Toll. This problem could be due to a staff car parked near the sensor, obstructing it, or the sensor may be faulty or malfunctioning, resulting in significant delays on the A38 southbound and Northbound
