There needs to be a sign giving a "traffic merging ahead" warning so that speeding lorries and cars slow down for traffic coming from the right 0 which has right of way

Due to the vast stretch of roads we cover in the south west (1665km), our resources must be shared across the whole South West region.
We record the number of injury collisions and accident data to support any improvements we put in place. We must provide benefit to the areas with the most need. There has been no injury collisions in the last 5 years.
Our operatives have confirmed that signing is correctly in place. The A36 northbound approach to Wyle Interchange has a dedicated turning lane onto the A303 West entry slip. The A36 North dedicated lane towards the A303 West entry slip should be used by A303 West traffic only. This is also supported by the left arrow road marking. The A303 West exit slip connecting to the A36 North does have a pair of warning signs (traffic merges ahead onto main carriageway). The traffic merges ahead warning sign is also in place along the A36 North section, prior to the A303 West exit slip traffic joining.
