Vegetation on central reservation obsuring view of traffic on roundabout

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category anonymously at 15:47, Tue 13 May 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7564274.

As we approach the manor road roundabout from the East, it is difficult to see traffic already on the roundabout due to high vegetation between the carriageways. Please will you cut it down to improve visibility and road safety. I see that there have already been a couple of reports about this but they have been closed, suggesting that you are not going to do this. I hope you will, because it is clearly a road safety issue, if, for example, an impatient driver (and there are some, particularly when it becomes busy there, which seems to be most of the time these days) doesn't see a vehicle on the roundabout and pulls out.

Updates

  • Thank you for your report and comments.

Please be advised that the vegetation to the centre reserve has been attended to ensuring sightlines aren't obscured.

    Kind regards
