Uneven road surface
Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 00:37, Tuesday 13 May 2025
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7560102.
The road surface is extremely uneven at the crossing on the A46 outside Barchester Care Home to the point that houses in the vicinity are shaking from the violent vibrations as the HGVs drive over it.
As well as the vibrations it is also extremely loud especially in the evenings when it is mainly the HGVs using the road. This is having an extremely detrimental effect on the health on local residents especially those at the care home.
The issue has been experienced for well over 5 months now and appears to be getting worse and the vibrations increasingly violent.
There is also concern that due to the location there could be potential safety issues for users of the crossing as well as bicycles and motorcycles.
