Pothole and surface cracking

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7546364.

Pothole expanding to wider than a car or motorbike width. Wearing course broken away and base course breaking up. Adjacent sections of carriageway show signs of movement laterally and longitudinally to the extent of two lanes.

    We’ve passed your concerns to our maintenance team for further investigation.

    We carry out frequent safety patrols to monitor the condition of the road. Any potholes or defects we find are recorded. Repairs are then prioritised based on the severity of the defect. We know that a damaged road surface can, on occasion, be potentially dangerous and we’ve processes in place to ensure any hazardous defects are repaired quickly.
