Equipment and supplies on the side of the road on both westbound

Left on the side of the road on both approaches to the Tamar Bridge. No works have carried out for over a 2 months and yet speed restrictions continue to be in place and are unnecessary. This causes massive delays on a daily basis and is totally unnecessary.

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways concerning our works on the A38.

    The 30mph speed restrictions are in place for the safety of both the construction workers as well as road users. We're working at night to keep lanes open during the day to minimise customer disruption.

    Although the works are taking place at night, the excavations are left open during the day so still a present risk to our customers. We've mitigated this risk by reducing the speed limit.
