Lack of Signage

Reported via desktop in the Sign Obscured (NH) category anonymously at 08:18, Thu 8 May 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7538012.

We at HORIBA MIRA have had several near misses due to the fact vehicles speed up to the island from the Redgate stretch of road to get passed slower vehicles knowing it converges into one lane after the island. Those turning right into MIRA have reported many near misses due to turning right and almost being hit by oncoming vehicles speeding, and not giving way at the island. We have also had an actual incident of a speeding vehicle hitting one of our company vehicles attending by highways and the police. It is only a matter of time before we have another RTC. Is there any signage or restrictions that can be put on the approach to warn vehicle drivers to slow down. We know we can't change bad driving behaviours but signage may help show them that they need to slow down. I have collected reports covering many near misses covering a a long period of time.
