Sunken and loose/worn manhole cover

Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category by Ronald Button at 16:52, Mon 28 April 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7494102.

Your report reference number is: 00517272 GUNTON CHURCH LANE, LOWESTOFT Date reported: 17/04/2025 Description: Square hinged manhole, loose and sunken. HGV's bang and rattle as they drive over. Very loud, quite frequent, 24/7. Extremely unnerving and upsetting. Had to re-home our dog because making him a nervous wreck afraid to go in the garden. I realise this is a Highways road, but have requested a repair several times with no response. If this carries on, I will apply for a Council Tax rebate under the failure to provide adequate noise prevention. Strange really as they recently resurfaced the road with a noise cancelling surface!
