The cycle path from the A1 to the gate is dangerous

Reported via desktop in the Pavement/footpath/cycleway/bridleway issue (NH) category anonymously at 08:28, Mon 28 April 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7490492.

The cycle path from the cycle path beside the A1 to the gate on east side of A1 is now covered by moss other than a very narrow section. This means the route is potentially very dangerous particularly if the surface is damp for any cyclist who strays off the narrow worn line. I believe this is technically within the A1 curtilage and therefore responsibility of National Highways (Council say it's not theirs). Can someone with a shovel please go and clear the build up of moss before there is a serious accident. This is on a national cycle route and well used by cyclists.
