Pothole

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7473697.

There are multiple potholes on the A1 South-bound for approx 1 mile north of Morpeth, Northumberland, up to the start of the dual carriageway. This has become a hazardous distraction in an attempt to avoid hitting them and damaging the car. These potholes have been evolving since before the winter period.

  • Thank you for making your report. We've checked and can confirm work to repair the road surface in this area has been planned but we are just waiting for roadspace availability from the Local Authority.

    Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
