Signs not visible due to overgrown trees/hedges

Reported via mobile in the Sign Obscured (NH) category anonymously at 10:57, Tue 22 April 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7463828.

The vegetation around these signs need massively cutting back, multiple signs as you come to the end of the A23 aren’t visible, it’s a busy junction as there are a variety of lanes going to different places and people don’t know where they are going. Thank you

  • Thank you for making your report. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue.

If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.

Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.

If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections, prior to the cyclic vegetation maintenance which is due to be carried out between April to May.

Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
