Loss of road surface
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7451302.
Large area of the road surface is now missing in 2 locations on this stretch. Almost whole of the nearside lane over a large area has been eroded down several inches to leave a dangerous patch of road which drivers are swerving across the road to avoid. Been here for at least 3 months and getting worse each week - wider and deeper. Multiple reports to this site and no action. Please fix it soon.

We carry out frequent safety patrols to monitor the condition of the road. Any potholes or defects we find are recorded. Repairs are then prioritised based on the severity of the defect. We know that a damaged road surface can, on occasion, be potentially dangerous and we’ve processes in place to ensure any hazardous defects are repaired quickly.
