Considerable potholes on left and middle lanes of A56 roundabout/Whitefield interchange

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category by Bonni Jee at 13:29, Wed 16 April 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7443866.

There are considerable potholes on the roundabout at the J17 interchange section of the M56, just after the Leeds/Oldham M60/2 exit (just at the boundary where the road becomes the bridge) of as you go round the roundabout towards Prestwich. The middle lane is the worst and this is dangerous for drivers to avoid as they would end up straddling the lanes if they tried to avoid this or stick to the right lane which is not advisable if exiting for Prestwich. The potholes straddle the middle lane and the far left. These are clearly visible on Google Street view images taken in May 2024 (!), and so are even worse/deeper now. I have checked with Bury Council and they have confirmed it is not their responsibility.
