Faded white lines on all areas of A40 Elmbridge court roundabout

Reported via mobile in the Faded / Hard to see (NH) category anonymously at 11:08, Wednesday 9 April 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7410229.

White markings are faded- non-visible in the rain. Makes it extremely difficult for drivers and there are numerous accidents and near misses on this roundabout, obviously not aided by the lack of suitable white line markings. Already contacted Gloucester highways who have advised this road (being A40) falls under national highways responsibility. Please advise what will be done, thank you for your help.

Updates

  • Thank you for making your report. We've asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue.

If any work is needed, they'll arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we'll continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.

Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
