Bridge Wobbles

Reported via mobile in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 20:58, Tue 8 April 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7408027.

When you walk along the bridge, you can feel that there is a slight wobble. I have become increasingly worried about the safety of this as the wobble has become bigger over time. I feel as though when I walk across it I need to stabilise myself. It has become a terrifying walk, especially given how high up and how long the bridge is. Could the integrity of the bridge please be checked out and if completely safe could the local community be notified about this so that some of us who have problems with our stability and fear of heights become willing to cross the bridge again. There is a beautiful country park on the other side of it that used to be a favourite location of mine. The bridge crosses the M60 connecting the two parts of The Moss in Wardley/Swinton. Thank you very much.
