Southbound on A23 Brighton road, just before Netherne drive, new 30mph speed sign obscured

Reported via mobile in the Sign Obscured (NH) category by Warren Ray Caswell at 12:34, Saturday 5 April 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7392095.

Approaching Netherne Drive on A23 Southbound, new speed limits along that stretch starting at a new speed gate showing 30mph obscured by a traffic lights warning sign on the left side of the road, being a new speed zone (speed gate), it would be very beneficial to all drivers to have that speed gate 30mph sign moved so that it is not obscured or have the traffic lights warning sign moved, PLUS, being a speed gate, shouldn’t there be an adjacent speed gate sign (30mph) to the right hand side of the carriageway?, so it’s properly visible, not just one partially obscured sneaky road sign, which I’m sure will catch out many drivers. It would be nice to see warnings about the new road speed restrictions. Local drivers know, but others who occasionally travel this route will be caught out.
