    We have passed your report to our local inspector who will review the issue as part of their next safety inspection and arrange any remedial action relating to the slip roads on the A1 (M).

    Under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, we’re responsible for collecting litter on England’s motorways and a few other strategic trunk roads. Local authorities are responsible for collecting litter on the remaining trunk and local roads, including the A602.

    The local authority is responsible for litter collection on the roundabout at junction 8, and along the A602.
