Cars stopping at wrong red light

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 12:09, Monday 31 March 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7363722.

Traffic lights on slip road exiting at junction 9 southbound from M3 onto Winnall roundabout. Set of traffic lights directly to left and right of cars on slip road are on red. The corresponding traffic light facing the sliproad also red on the roundabout itself. Cars on the roundabout going around the roundabout with the green light go through this green light and then immediately stop at the slip lane corresponding red light, perhaps due to the angle of the light. I have seen this on 4 separate occasions now and traffic behind vehicles then has to abruptly stop when they're not anticipating it.
