J15 traffic lights slipway

Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 20:40, Wednesday 26 March 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7343955.

The traffic lights at the top of the slipway heading eastbound are only letting through 3 cars maximum at a time. This is causing significant tail back traffic of over 1 mile +. National Highway must be aware of the problem because they set speed warnings on the two screens leading up to the junction. This issue has been happening for well over two weeks now. National Highways need to take immediate action to put the traffic light sequencing back to how it has always been. I have attempted to vary my time reaching this junction every morning but I am still caught in dangerous traffic for almost half an hour. I have looked through the reports already logged and these are all correct, I agree with every word. I do not understand how National Highways can consider these matters 'closed'. National Highways must sort this issue before someone/multiple people are injured. I am witnessing multiple near misses every morning. When I drive past this, again varying my time between 3-5pm, the traffic is backed up onto the motorway causing a dangerous situation. National Highways please sort this immediately!!!
