Traffic delays

There are no traffic lights on the section coming from Denton Burn onto the A69 to Hexham. This causes huge traffic delays up to the top of the west road. There are traffic lights on every other entry to the round about but not from Denton Burn to the A69. When the traffic is heavy, it doesn’t allow for cars to enter the round about from Denton burn which backs up the traffic horrendously. Please can this been looked into

Thank you for your enquiry regarding traffic signals on the A1 junction 75 at Denton.
We are aware that there is congestion on this interchange at peak times from the A69 and the A186.
Our engineering team have advised that they are planning to study the junction to understand if there are any potential interventions they could make to improve the interchange. However, any potential improvements are subject to funding and this is currently unavailable.
Please be assured that your suggestion has been passed to our improvements team who will consider this request in any future study.
