Potholes between lanes east and westbound

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 07:07, Monday 24 March 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7324845.

Between Troytown junction and Blandford junction (the tarmaced section between concrete sections), there are potholes between the two lanes in both directions. Have previously reported these, but no sign of repairs being done. If a hole is hit at speed, it causes a serious and disturbing jolt.

Updates

  • These pot holes along the A35 as described will cause damage to a car but cause a Motorcyclist to completely lose control and receive serious if not fatal injuries. Although the pot holes are generally situated at the centre of the two lanes they would be a problem if overtaking. They appear both east and westbound.

  • These potholes are getting worse. Driving this stretch in either direction requires slaloming to avoid damaging holes. Unless something is done soon, there will be a serious accident here.
