Square hinged manhole sunken below surface .

Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category by Ronald Button at 11:36, Wednesday 19 March 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7302743.

This manhole has worn to a smooth surface so is a skid risk by a pedestrian crossing. There is a fair amount of HGV's using the A47 because of the entrances to the Docks. Most carry small offshore containers, which bang and rattle loudly as do tippers, skip lorries and delivery trucks etc, sometimes 24hrs a day. This can be very unsettling, one fears relaxing waiting for the next one! This was NOT addressed when the road was recently resurfaced . Please do something before I and others have a breakdown. This is an ongoing issue for over a year, and as trade increases on the Docks so does the noise. It's Iike living on a war zone.!!!!!
