Concrete joints expanded to large, regular gaps - A180(W) Lane 1: between A1173 JN and B1210 overbridge

A180(W) Lane 1 from the A1173 junction at every 2/3 metre intervals there are deep perpendicular trenches where wheels are constantly dropping in and out of. This continues all the way until the B1210 overbridge where in lane 1, there is now a very harsh and raised transition to the asphalt road surface.

    The road surface at this location is very much consistent with all the other concrete sections on the westbound A180.

    However, we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.
