Historical litter exposed due to hedge clearance

Reported via desktop in the Main Carriageway (NH) category anonymously at 22:58, Thursday 6 March 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7238479.

Hi, good to see a huge cut back of the hedgerows here, which has exposed years of uncollected litter and rubbish along this stretch of the motorway, exiting and services and all the way along to Birtley where it passes over to Gateshead Council. Now that it has been cut back when are you intending a full and proper litter pick because it hasn't been done for years. A good rake will be needed now that it can be easily cleared. It is a truely gruesome stretch of motorway. Thanks
