Dangerous parking and manoeuvring on A46 Slip Road

Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 16:09, Thursday 6 March 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7236722.

This slip road is becoming increasingly difficult to navigate safely. Ratcliffe Light Commercials (RLC) regularly park vehicles partially on the slip road near to the point where the A46 is joined. People from RLC are often manoeuvring vehicles on the slip road (sometimes reversing) and will often get out of vehicles directly on to the slip road. On 28 Feb 25 there was an articulated lorry parked at the end of the slip road directly at the point of A46 joining. This activity is very dangerous for users of the slip road, particularly as the slip road is uphill and partially blind until late joining (note that slip road users often need to be watching vehicle activity from RLC on the left whilst joining the A46 on the right. Please can something be done to alleviate?
