Prospective serious damage to 5 Mile hill... all of it.

Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 13:41, Wed 5 March 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7230090.

I am a resident of Pathfinder Village. As a result of of a meeting for a prospective tip at Lower Hare farm of up to 750,000 tons (and the rest) of waste material, this stuff will be transported by 40 tonne lorries at a rate of one every ten minutes along Five Mile Hill in either direction. This road is not capable of supporting this amount of heavy traffic, it is not designed for that. How old is this road? Over 100 years? Its foundations are designed for traffic one quarter of what could potentially travel on it. As it stands at the moment, even the areas that were resurfaced, to the East of Pathfinder Village, two years ago are already showing signs of subsidence. Some departmental objection to this insane route needs to be made now.
