Updates

  • Good Afternoon, Many Thanks for your report via FMS. We acknowledge your frustrations regarding the litter along the A249, as I am sure you are aware, litter is an ongoing anti-social issue. Having said that, we can confirm that litter along the A249 Trunk road are cleaned, when safe to do so on the network.

We have recently had 10 shifts of litter picking along the A249 Southbound and Northbound and have other planned closures for litter picking within the next few weeks. We are also planning to litter pick along the Grovehurst area.

Daily patrols are carried out removing debris from the live carriageway and verges, these patrols also highlight any areas of litter accumulation. We also utilise all road closures carried out during night-time hours and bring in extra resources to try and keep the network clean.

We would like to thank you for contacting us about this matter.
