Road surface around the manhole cover has broken up.

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 15:21, Monday 3 March 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7218897.

Road surface around the manhole cover has broken up. Just before the traffic lights in in the inside lane there is a manhole cover. The tarmac around the manhole cover was repaired a while ago, but this repair has now broken up and the tarmac is no longer there. Meaning there is a huge hole on the leading edge of the manhole cover. This is right on the line of the truck and car tyres (probably why the repair hasn't lasted so long?) The hole in the tarmac is getting bigger every day and before long it'll either break wheels and/or the manhole cover will be dislodged.
