Sharp Deviation signs damaged from crash
Reported via mobile in the Damage to Sign (NH) category anonymously at 15:07, Thursday 27 February 2025
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7199785.
Specialist Traffic Police attended Exit slip for serious collision involving 1 vehicle losing control on this off-slip (believed medical episode- driver sustained compound fracture to leg). Deviation sign is now damaged. Vehicle went into the adjacent residential garden, hitting substantial tree which luckily prevented vehicle from going through and into house. Numerous reported crashes at this location. There is NO PROPER protection on this off-slip and it is considered now essential to implement a small crash barrier to protect both motorists AND occupants of the house (Thorpe Ley) from serious injury. Can this be assessed.
