Pot holes, broken road surface

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 23:34, Monday 24 February 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7183403.

The stretch around a mile in each direction from thorney toll requires resurfacing. There are pot holes. broken road surfaces and flooding caused the lack of maintenance to the road and the drainage of the road. Th water 'pools' along the sides of the roads and this is dangerous. The road is deteriorating and has been deteriorating for years.

Updates

  • Thank you for making your report regarding the road surface on the A47 at Thorney Toll. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue. If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen.

Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.

Please note: The A47 from Guyhirn to New Cut Roundabout is to be resurfaced as soon as the necessary planning and permissions are in place (early 2025).

    Kind regards National Highways
