Slippery pavement

Reported via mobile in the Pavement/footpath/cycleway/bridleway issue (NH) category by Rory Leggett at 09:56, Wednesday 19 February 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7155660.

The pavements encircling the Ford roundabout in Arundel get slippery during the rain because the grass verges on either side are growing over the edges and the rain washes the soil all over them. The grass edges need cutting back to the edge of the pavement tarmac.

  • Thank you for making your report. We have raised this issue with our team to assess the issue.

If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.

Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.

    Kind regards
