Loads of abandoned equipment

Reported via mobile in the Abandoned Materials (NH) category anonymously at 16:33, Mon 17 February 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7147713.

Piles of old sand bags, A frames, cones/bollards and other paraphernalia absolutely everywhere. Keep giving these TM companies multiple million pound contracts despite the mess they continue to leave everywhere. You and these companies represent everything that is wrong with this country. Sheer and utter laziness and complete disregard for tax payer's money. One of the largest contributors to littering/flytipping. A complete disgrace.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding the redundant traffic management equipment. We will arrange for one of our local inspectors to investigate this. Where we have identified redundant equipment, this will be removed. However, in some cases we do leave items in place for future use. Some isolated cones may also be in place for a specific purpose that may not be clear to passing vehicles. Kind regards National Highways
