Road Markings

Reported via desktop in the Faded / Hard to see (NH) category anonymously at 23:50, Mon 10 February 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7115261.

The road markings for the roadabout at M61 Jn 4 x Watergate Lane are worn to the point of being dangerous. I had an accident only 12 months ago at Chequerbent Roundabout A6/A58 because road marking were not clear enough to the other driver, and so merged into my lane without clear intent as they belived they operated the controlling lane, assuming I was supposed to yeld right of way. I've noticed similar behavour with lane crossing on roundabout exits because the road markings are not clear enough for people to judge the correct lane to use. Please note that I am a local resident, and a HGV driver for a local business. I would really appreciate my request be looked into as I am very worried about an accident occuring.
