Flyover bridge support damaged, metal exposed and corroding

Reported via desktop in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category by Daniel Aldous-Critchley at 15:28, Sat 8 February 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7105091.

The bridge support for the flyover is damaged. The metal is exposed and corroding. It is one of the columns that support the top bridge deck and the damage can be seen if looking 90ยบ left whilst on the southbound M25 to M23 bridge, if crawling in traffic. It cannot be seen if travelling at speed in the normal direction of travel. The size of the damage is probably 60-70cm across and the metal concrete reinforcement is exposed. It is corroding and I fear a risk of collapse if left unchecked. This would pose a huge risk to life and enormous disruption if the flyover comes down.
