Trees and vegetation overhanging cycle path

Reported via desktop in the Pavement/footpath/cycleway/bridleway issue (NH) category by Dawn Sharpe at 09:49, Friday 7 February 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7099834.

Trees and vegetation are overhanging the cycle path between the overhead footbridge and the Melton/Ferriby junction on the south side of the main A63 carriageway. These are at eye level and could cause serous injury to a cyclist. Please also see me previous post about on a fallen tree on the north side of the carriage way. These are 2 separate problems.

The inspection found there was no issue with overhanging vegetation at this location, however we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.

Although we always aim to complete work as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
