Road surface degraded by HGV’s

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7091043.

Road surface is worn to the width of a HGV, road is very pitted, seems ok for a car but when traveling with a 4x4 / similar the road pulls you one way then the other. Even worse with a trailer behind the 4x4. Hard to build speed & causes trailer to snake.

    We carry out frequent safety patrols to monitor the condition of the road. Any defects we find are recorded. Repairs are then prioritised based on the severity of the defect. We know that a damaged road surface can, on occasion, be potentially dangerous and we’ve processes in place to ensure any hazardous defects are repaired quickly.
