Debris in kerbside gutters

Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category by Roddy Bridge at 18:10, Tuesday 4 February 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7086253.

My report concerns debris in the gutter along the A36 from Wilton east bound to Skew Bridge, Salisbury. ( There is no other relevant category in your menu) Following the cutting back of verge trees and vegetation 5/6 weeks ago there is still a lot it the debris , small branches etc in the gutter. I cycle this route everyday and because of the debris I am forced to ride well away from the kerb ( one metre in places). This really concerns me as a safety issues as passing vehicles now have to drive closer to the centre of the carriageway to pass me. Second point concerns left behind / abandoned temporary yellow road signs and sandbags which were used when the road was resurfaced and white lines repainted. Some remain a hazard for pavement users. Surely the contractors/ Highways should have removed these by now.
