Traffic cones left out when road works have been completed.

West bound Traffic cones and lane still closed long after road works have been completed causing hours of delays and queues in excess of 6 miles.

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways on 30 January 2025 about the lanes closures on the westbound carriageway from Lewes towards Falmer.

    We're sorry about the long delays experienced. The traffic management was installed due to a collapsed Southern Water manhole cover on the main carriageway, necessary to keep drivers and their workforce safe whilst the arranged and completed emergency repairs.
