Abandoned NH cones and signs

Reported via desktop in the Abandoned Materials (NH) category anonymously at 14:24, Thursday 30 January 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7059603.

There are cones, signs and frames left over from previous works in the central verge. They have been there for so long now, that saplings are growing up through the top of the cones. Come on NH, how many times must your people drive past this!

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding the redundant traffic management equipment. We will arrange for one of our local inspectors to investigate this. Where we have identified redundant equipment, this will be removed. However, in some cases we do leave items in place for future use. Some isolated cones may also be in place for a specific purpose that may not be clear to passing vehicles. Kind regards National Highways
