A frames and cones on road

Reported via desktop in the Abandoned Materials (NH) category anonymously at 10:49, Wednesday 29 January 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7051491.

Good evening I would like to register a cause for concern - As you join the A47 from the Postwick Hub going towards Whitlingham there are a number of traffic cones and roadwork signs as you come off the slip road to join the main carriageway that have been there for months if not over a year and they are just laying about dangerously on the road. Has someone forgotten to remove them as there never appears to be any roadworks happening? I use this road regularly and am very concerned that they are going to cause an accident soon! Perhaps you could look into this as a matter of urgency please. Many thanks A concerned road user!

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding the traffic management equipment.

The signage and cones at the end of the A47 entry slip road are there to protect a joint defect on the end of the bridge. Our structures team are aware and intend to address this issue as soon as it is possible.

Thank you again for taking the time to highlight this issue to us.

    Kind regards National Highways
