Missing grids on pavement and lighting out

Reported via mobile in the Pavement/footpath/cycleway/bridleway issue (NH) category anonymously at 12:41, Sun 26 January 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7034461.

There are 3 sets of lights out as you walk over Myton Bridge east bound at the start of the bridgeand there are holes in the pavement. I walk this way in the dark for early morning hotel shifts and it is pitch black due to the first 3 sets of lights on the road/bridge being out and it's impossible to miss these holes on the pavement. They seem to be missing metal lid type things which leaves them open.

Updates

  • Thank you for making your report. Our inspection team have attended this location and assessed the issue. As a result we have raised a job with our maintenance contractors to replace the drainage covers. The lighting will also be fixed as soon as possible.

Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.

    Kind regards National Highways
