M1 motorway bridge over B6419 Woodthoroe Russ, is falling apart with dangerous, huge chunks of concrete falling from the roof, onto the pavement and road below

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7029882.

There are large chunks (2ft) of concrete in several separate areas falling from the roof of the M1 motorway bridge onto the B4619 Woodthoroe road below. The main areas that are falling in are along the middle of the bridge roof, possibly under where the central reservation worrk has been carried out. Where the concrete has fallen away, you can see the steel poles inside

  • I have photos showing the damage and scale of the issue taken around 8om this evening. Please let me know how I can submit them. There are a few typos in the report. The road is the B6419, Woodthorpe road, near Shuttlewood, Derbyshire
