Street Lighting not working between the Gapton Hall roundabout and Harfreys Rounadabout.

Reported via mobile in the Not working (NH) category anonymously at 22:21, Fri 24 January 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7029795.

Since construction of the upgrade of the Harfreys roundabout started several years ago the street lighting hasn't worked, the steet light had only recently been replaced with new fittings that vastly improved safety along that stretch of road.

Updates

  • Thank you for making your report regarding the streetlights on the A47.

Following a road traffic collision the electrical feeder pillar was damaged and was replaced by National Highways.

Power networks are actively working to re-connect the feeder pillar in order to restore the streetlighting. Unfortunately in order to do this they require to access private land that currently has been refused. Power Networks are now taking the appropriate action to gain access and restore power.

Due to the extenuating circumstances we are unable at this time to give a definitive date when this problem will be resolved. Please be assured that both National Highways and Power Networks are working diligently to resolve this issue.

    Kind regards National Highways
