Many deep potholes across this slip road

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7029069.

This slip road is littered with deep potholes such that I hit one and punctured both driver’s side tyres.

Given that this is a slip road, a driver’s focus is on entering the dual carriageway and not monitoring for potholes. With this I fear my incident is likely not to be an isolated event.

I have only been using this slip road to commute for the last three weeks so can only state that the potholes have been there for at least this long.

  • Thank you for making your report regarding the road surface condition on the northbound entry slip road to the A5 at Bletcham Way. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue.

    If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen.

    Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
