Dangerous road surface

The section of A47 from between Thorney & Guyhirn is a shambles. Potholes everywhere, faded lines, broken up patch work, the list goes on. When are you going to properly repair this road?

  • Thank you for making your report regarding the road surface condition on the A47 at Thorney. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue. If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen.

    Please note: The A47 from Guyhirn to New Cut Roundabout is to be resurfaced as soon as the necessary planning and permissions are in place (early 2025).

    Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
