Turf and debris spread over cycle way - very dangerous to cyclists

Reported via mobile in the Pavement/footpath/cycleway/bridleway issue (NH) category anonymously at 11:21, Monday 20 January 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7005149.

The dedicated cycle track adjacent to the A66 between Mungrisedale Road end and Lane Head farm is covered in turf and mud that appears to have been deposited there by recent snowplough operations. I rode it with my wife on Thursday 16/2/25 and it is very dangerous in its current state. Fortunately neither of us hit any clumps of turf or we would have been thrown off our bikes immediately adjacent the very busy eastbound carriageway of the road
