White lines are no longer visible leading to danger when existing roundabout.

Reported via mobile in the Faded / Hard to see (NH) category anonymously at 19:48, Thursday 16 January 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6991491.

A38 southbound. Roundabout at junction with A52 in Derby. When exiting roundabout, three lanes very quickly merge in to two lanes. The merge arrows and lane markings have worn out and are no longer visible. Cars and lorries may leave the roundabout at quite high speeds. This increases the risk of collision because vehicles may not be positioned correctly on the road. Vehicles may be unaware of other road users in their rear blind spots. Furthernore, the tarmac joints which sometimes are used to indicate the lane, do not run parallel to where the lane markings used to be. This problem has been present for over 3 months.
